PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OF OUR FOOTBALL TEAMS ARE FULL AT THIS TIME. IF YOU WISH TO ADD YOUR ATHLETE(S) TO A WAITLIST, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS. WE WILL NOT REQUIRE PAYMENT UNLESS YOUR ATHLETE(S) IS ADDED TO A ROSTER(S).
The Venice Vikings are a Pop Warner D1 tackle football league consisting of 6 age-based divisions. Away games may be as far south as Naples. Football playoffs start mid to late October. Teams that advance will go to Regional Playoffs over Thanksgiving weekend in Orlando. Teams that advance after Regionals will go to the National Championships in early December back in Orlando.
Who is Eligible:
- Ages 5-13 on July 31, 2024
Summer Conditioning:
- We will offer summer conditioning clinics mid-June through mid-July (dates/times TBD). The clinics are optional, but a great way to get a head start on preparing for the fall season, get acclimated to the heat, and meet new friends. The clinics will be open to the community for free.
Overview of our 2024 Fall Season:
- August - For the first few weeks practice will be 4-5 days per week.
- After school starts and the minimum number of conditioning hours have been met, practice will drop to 3 days per week.
- Practice days and times are subject to be adjusted due to bad weather.
- August 17/18 Jamboree (some teams will play Saturday and others on Sunday).
- Game Schedule - Saturdays dates TBD.
What do I need to Purchase:
Athlete is responsible for purchasing a mouth guard with a strap that attaches to the helmet's face guard, socks and cleats.
Division's may be eliminated/consolidated depending on the number and age of athletes who enroll.
The Athletic Director will make the final determination on team placements.
