2025 Season:
The Venice Vikings are a Pop Warner D1 tackle football league consisting of 7 age-based divisions. Away games may be as far south as Naples. Football playoffs start mid to late October. Teams that advance will go to Regional Playoffs over Thanksgiving weekend in Orlando. Teams that advance after Regionals will go to the National Championships in early December in Charlotte, NC.
Who is Eligible:
- Ages 5-13 on July 31, 2025
What do I need to Purchase:
Athlete is responsible for purchasing a mouth guard with a strap that attaches to the helmet's face guard, practice jersey, socks and cleats.
Teams and Placement:
Division's may be eliminated/consolidated depending on the number and age of athletes who enroll.
The Athletic Director makes the final determination on team placements.
Practices:
Practices will start on July 15! For the first two weeks, practice will be 4-5 evenings a week. After Labor Day, practices will likely be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. with Wednesday and Friday reserved as make up days due to weather cancellations.
Regular Season Games:
Our regular season football schedule typically includes approximately 9 games. Games will start in August and are held anywhere from Venice down to Naples.
Regional Playoff and Championship games are anywhere within the State of Florida. If an overnight stay is required, players will stay together with coaches.
National playoff games and the Superbowl will be in Charlotte, NC. Players will stay together with coaches.
