As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-driven football and cheer program, we provide youth ages 3–14 with a safe, supportive, and competitive environment to grow through sports. Serving hundreds of local families each season, we offer flag football, tackle football, and sideline and competitive cheer—ensuring opportunities for all experience levels.
At the Venice Vikings, we believe the lessons learned on the field and sidelines extend far beyond the game. Our dedicated volunteer coaches and board members mentor athletes while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and leadership. We focus on developing the whole athlete—both on and off the field—while also emphasizing academic success and positive life habits.
We are proud of the lasting impact our program has on the community, building confidence, friendships, and future leaders. Many former athletes return as coaches and volunteers, continuing the Vikings tradition.
The Venice Vikings are more than just a sports organization—we are a community. Families come together during practice nights, weekend game days, and special events, creating memories that last a lifetime while strengthening the bond across our town and beyond.
However, our program faces unique financial challenges. In addition to the standard costs of uniforms, equipment, league fees, and insurance, we are responsible for expenses that many youth organizations do not incur. These include reserving practice fields at our home stadium at Wellfield Park, as well as covering utilities and maintenance for our concessions, locker rooms, equipment storage, and board facilities.
We are also deeply committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial circumstances. Through our scholarship program, we proudly support families in need—removing barriers so that every athlete has a place on our team.
